Lee Asher to Support SICSA at Upcoming Event
We’re excited to announce that animal rescue advocate, SICSA adopter, National Geographic author, and owner of The Asher House Sanctuary, Lee Asher, will be joining us for The PET Gala: The Art of Community!
After visiting us in the fall of 2024 and adopting Hank, a 2 year old mixed breed dog, Lee has become a supportive voice for our shelter. Following his time at SICSA, he released a video about his trip titled, “I visited one of the most impressive shelters in the entire country.” He has continued to use his platform to elevate SICSA along with a number of other organizations across the country to highlight adoptable animals and support their missions. Now, he is lending his voice and presence to The PET Gala: The Art of Community to help not only SICSA, but our partner organizations as well.
“Lee’s kindness to our shelter and the voice he has provided to animal welfare at large have made a huge impact,” said SICSA President and CEO, Jack Omer. “We are ecstatic to have him join us in support of not only SICSA, but our partners as well. He has used his platform for to change the lives of so many animals, and through his participation at The PET Gala, he will change the lives of those facing domestic abuse, facing food insecurity, and those navigating life with disabilities, too.”
During his time at the event, Asher will speak on the lifesaving importance of community and collaboration in the field of animal welfare.
